About Chuck:

I'm a small town Ohio boy at heart. I was born May 6th in Greenfield and raised in New Vienna. I had the early need to talk and there were only 800 people in my town ... so I had talked to all of them before I was 6. That love of getting to know people is one of the things that makes radio so much fun.. I was High School Class President(don't ask me how) at New Kenton High. After graduation, (about 15 minutes after) I went to the big city for college. I'm a proud graduate of The University of Cincinnati. Following college, I worked in radio in Dayton, Cincinnati, New York City and Cleveland.

In the Collier house, there's my wife Joni, a dog named Riley and a cat named Bernie. My daughter, Melanie, is in advertising and my son Jason, is an accountant.

I love music and food ... or FOOD and music, even better, listening to music while eating!! I love meeting my listeners and playing Classic Country - 6pm til Midnight, Monday through Friday.

From where you say. I say from vacation or holiday as the British say. Yep, 10 wonderful days "down home" in southern Ohio. Have you ever seen the movie "Deliverance"?? Where I'm from is not quite that way, but, pretty close. Where I'm from, a "Lebron" is a Chrysler!! We eat corn bread, grits, drink sweet tea & wash our hands in water you wouldn't walk in, BUT, it's home. I sit out on the back porch & watch the cows graze & on the front porch, I watch them baling hay & in between short naps, a swig of sweet tea goes a long way. I like it. How much do I like it?? So much that I'm going back in less than 3 weeks!! You should come home with me sometime....well,maybe not......

Jimmy Dean passed away almost 2 weeks ago at his home on the James River in Virginia. His passing, while very sad to me, also brought back some great memories of a very talented & funny guy. I first met Jimmy at a radio station in Cleveland in 1974. He was stopping to promote something. I was never a guy who could dress himself without a woman's help. This day was really was a fashion train wreck for me. Some how, don't ask me how.....I came to work in checked polyester slacks(hey, it was 1974) & a polka dot shirt. Jimmy walked in the door & mind you, I'd never met him before. The first words out of his mouth were "boy, did you dress in the dark"? It never came close to hurting me because it was the truth & came from one of my favorite performers. I was around him again in the mid 1980's......he was as funny as ever.
I loved him.....it's just hard to believe that "Big Bad John" will be 50 years old next year. Where do the years go???

I see where Kenny Rogers has put his Atlanta home on the market. He bought it in 2006 for 2.8 million. He & wife Wanda lived there the next few years & spent several million working the mansion over. He's now asking almost 8 million for it. Will he get it in this market & will it be worth all the agravation?? i'm sure someone else did the work, but how long can you eat breakfast with saw dust floating through the air. My mama used to say, "leave well enough alone" & I usually do......that's why I can't afford a 2.8 million dollar house to fix up. Good luck with the sale Mr. Kenny!!
